Position overview:
We’re seeking a skilled Interior Architect to lead a variety of dynamic commercial interior projects from concept to completion. You’ll have the full support of our directors, designers, technicians, and project team, ensuring every project is collaborative, engaging, and impactful by leveraging the strengths of our entire team.As a key member of Designwell, you’ll play a critical role in our success, helping to shape inspiring spaces and deliver exceptional design outcomes for the people and communities that use them.
About the role:
We’re looking for an experienced Interior Architect with the following attributes –
- Strong design sensibility – A keen eye for style, form, and proportion, with a deep understanding of color, materials, and finishes in commercial interiors.
- Expertise in commercial interiors – Strong knowledge of products, systems, and specifications relevant to the industry.
- Project coordination – Experience working with contractors, suppliers, and client stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Client-focused approach – A natural ability to engage with clients, understand their needs, and collaborate throughout the design process.
- Technical proficiency – Skilled in Revit, SketchUp Pro, and Enscape
- End-to-end project leadership – Confident in managing projects from concept to completion.
- Spatial planning & detailing – Strong skills in space planning, interior detailing, and custom joinery design.
- Regulatory knowledge – Solid understanding of the NZ Building Code and consent process for commercial interiors.
- Qualifications – A degree or diploma in Interior Architecture, Spatial Design, or Commercial Interior Design.
- Fluent English communication – Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
